Softball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Lancaster. They came up short against the Lancaster Tigers on Tuesday, falling 17-7. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Skyline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylene Escobedo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Escobedo a new career-high in RBI (two).

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lancaster, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

Coming up, Skyline will venture away from home to face off against Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lancaster, they will welcome Duncanville at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Duncanville will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Lancaster surely won't give up without a fight.
