The Lakeland Christian Vikings will square off against the Winter Park Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lakeland Christian 2.3, Winter Park 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Lakeland Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Calvary Christian, who was ranked 24th at the time (Lakeland Christian was ranked 20th). Lakeland Christian came out on top against Calvary Christian on Friday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Fin Donay spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
At the plate, Lakeland Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Howell, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Howell a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Winter Park had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 12-8.
Ryder Simon and Isaac Incinelli made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Simon struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Incinelli tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Simon has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Simon went 1-for-5 with one triple and two RBI, while Incinelli scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Incinelli also put up a home run, which was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Jackson Freyer looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Skyler Jersey was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Malave, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Winter Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Lakeland Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. Winter Park's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.
