Baseball Recap: Soda Springs Wins Going Away Against Challis

Soda Springs hadn't done well against Challis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Vikings back in March, they had to take a 8-7 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Kyen Kirby, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Junior Horsley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Soda Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Challis only posted an OBP of .348.
