Soccer Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Warren Central Vikings an easy 8-0 victory. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 two weeks ago.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Warren Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vicksburg at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Warren Central also won't see the pitch for a while: their next matchup is against Kosciusko at 2:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
