Softball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Wins Going Away Against Aquinas

Arrowhead Christian made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Aquinas, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 8-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Allie Chavez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Daizey Naefke, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Chavez, who scored a run while going 4-for-5.

Naefke wasn't the only one making solid contact: Arrowhead Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aquinas only managed five hits.

Arrowhead Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Arrowhead Christian has already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Linfield Christian on the 27th. As for Aquinas, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Norco on the 28th.
