Baseball Preview: Montclair Mounties vs. Johnson Crusaders

The Montclair Mounties will head out to face off against the Johnson Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Montclair will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Montclair is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over Garfield on Tuesday. The Mounties not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 12-0).

Montclair got a massive performance out of Kody Nesbitt, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Nesbitt a new career-high. Jayden Williams was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Montclair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
