Basketball Recap: Landon Cochran's Big Game Can't Quite Lead the Cross Christian School over Mountain Grove Christian Academy

The Cross Christian School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 58-32 to the Mountain Grove Christian Academy EAGLES. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.

The Cross Christian School lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Landon Cochran, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Falzone, who had six points and eight rebounds.

The Cross Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mountain Grove Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

The Cross Christian School and Mountain Grove Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Lions see the court they'll take on Oakwood Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
