Recap: College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals vs. Bethany Wolves
In what's become a running theme this season, the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 77-21 victory over Bethany at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-15.
Robert Knotts was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven assists and six steals. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Bryce Mckenzie was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists and six steals.
College Prep & Leadership Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Bethany, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. College Prep & Leadership Academy will face off against the Yellowjackets at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. Bethany will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. The timing is sure in Winston-Salem Prep's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Wolves have been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
