Soccer Recap: Memorial Comes Up Short

Memorial lost against Anna back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Roughriders fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1. Piper Triplett was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Memorial's goal came courtesy of Claire Turner, who's now up to five this season.

Memorial now has a losing record of 4-5-3. As for Anna, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1.

Looking ahead, Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anna, they will be playing at home against Legacy Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Anna will need to watch out since Legacy Christian Academy have now posted at least four goals in their last five contests.
