Soccer Recap: North Mac Comes Up Short

After flying high against Taylorville on Saturday, North Mac came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Carlinville Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The defeat continues a trend for North Mac in their meetings with Carlinville: they've now lost six in a row.

North Mac's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Carlinville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

North Mac will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwestern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carlinville, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Sacred Heart-Griffin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
