Howell North faced Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

While Howell North won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-21.

Howell North pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Lutheran, they moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Howell North and Lutheran will both be playing Hickman the next time they take the court. The Knights will host the Kewpies at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
