Softball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

Fairfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Providence Pioneers, falling 21-2. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Fairfax will venture away from home to face off against Los Angeles CES at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Providence, they will host Flintridge Sacred Heart at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Providence's pitchers better be ready for this one: Flintridge Sacred Heart has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
