Softball Recap: Taylor Ducks vs. Lampasas Badgers

Taylor extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-16-1. They fell 4-1 to the Lampasas Badgers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 back in March.

As for Lampasas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games.

For Lampasas' part, Brooklyn Farmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Madison Magilke was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor will welcome Jarrell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lampasas, they will challenge Gateway College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
