Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 77-22 defeat at the hands of the Brunswick Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Wildcats are ranked 134th).

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Brunswick, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Santa Fe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-32 defeat against Carrollton on the 29th. As for Brunswick, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Brunswick Wildcats challenge the Higbee Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. Higbee will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Brunswick surely won't give up without a fight.
