Baseball Recap: Colt Teepe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Benjamin Logan

Urbana proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Benjamin Logan Raiders get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Hillclimbers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Brody Donahoe, who gave up just six hits to keep Benjamin Logan off the board. Donahoe also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Urbana is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Urbana saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Teepe, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Kevin Endres also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Urbana's record now sits at 7-9. As for Benjamin Logan, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Looking ahead, Urbana will venture away from home to face off against Triad at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Benjamin Logan, they will welcome Pleasant at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
