Basketball Game Preview: Okanogan Bulldogs vs. Lake Roosevelt Raiders

The Okanogan Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Roosevelt Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lake Roosevelt is hoping to do what Tonasket couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Okanogan's winning streak, which now stands at six games. Okanogan claimed a resounding 71-39 win over Tonasket. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Tigers since January 25, 2020.

Meanwhile, Lake Roosevelt came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Kodiaks, posting a 75-25 win. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Kodiaks are ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Roosevelt pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Okanogan, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Okanogan suffered a grim 91-69 defeat to Lake Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Okanogan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
