Recap: Freeman Scotties vs. Deer Park Stags
The Freeman Scotties have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season. They really took it to Deer Park for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-17 win on the road. With Freeman ahead 38-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Freeman's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micah Hodges, who scored 14 points. The contest was Hodges' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Lapointe, who scored 11 points.
Freeman pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Deer Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Freeman will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Newport at 4:15 p.m. Newport comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Deer Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Lakeside is ranked 253rd, while Deer Park is ranked 265th).
