Basketball Game Preview: Palisades Pirates vs. Salisbury Township Falcons

Palisades hasn't had much luck against Salisbury Township recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Palisades Pirates will be playing at home against the Salisbury Township Falcons at 6:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with 12 defeats in a row, Palisades turned things around against Northern Lehigh on Monday. They strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 67-52. The Pirates' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Palisades got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Blake Oglialoro out in front who went 11 of 18 on his way to 27 points and eight rebounds. Will Anderson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards.

Palisades was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Salisbury Township hadn't done well against Southern Lehigh recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Salisbury Township came out on top against Southern Lehigh by a score of 57-45.

Salisbury Township pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Palisades, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-16.
