Soccer Game Preview: Crystal River vs. Hernando

Crystal River is 1-9 against Hernando since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Leopards at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Crystal River's offense. They came up short against Lecanto on Thursday, falling 6-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Crystal River haven't been shut out since back in December of 2025.

Meanwhile, Hernando waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Falcons an 8-0 shutout. Considering Hernando have won 11 matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hernando's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Crystal River, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-2.

Crystal River couldn't quite get it done against Hernando when the teams last played back in November of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
