Recap: Midfield Patriots vs. Shades Valley Mounties
On Tuesday, Midfield narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Shades Valley 34-32. The win made it back-to-back wins for Midfield.
Midfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazmin Johnson, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Johnson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Gabrielle Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Midfield now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Shades Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-5 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Midfield will be playing at home against Jackson-Olin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Jackson-Olin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Wednesday. As for Shades Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
