Softball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

If Bloomington was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Fontana on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell just short of the Notre Dame Titans by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.

Bloomington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jolene Gallegos, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Angela Everardo was another, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bloomington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Notre Dame, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Bloomington nor Notre Dame have any future games scheduled.
