Baseball Recap: Covina Takes a Loss

Covina fell victim to Northview and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 13, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Covina now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Northview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covina will head out to challenge Costa Mesa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colts 3.7, the Mustangs 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Northview, they will venture away from home to face off against Charter Oak at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
