Softball Recap: Southwest Onslow Takes a Loss

Southwest Onslow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Lenoir Blue Devils, falling 17-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stallions of the 16-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Southwest Onslow's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for South Lenoir, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southwest Onslow is set to take on their familiar foe Wallace-Rose Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Lenoir will face off against rival Kinston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in South Lenoir's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Kinston has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
