Baseball Recap: Ambridge Bridgers vs. Central Valley Warriors
After losing to Central Valley the last time they met, Ambridge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bridgers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 7-4 on Monday. The game was the first time the Bridgers have beaten the Warriors on their field since March 31, 2022.
Cody Hetrick tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Jonathan Janicki was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Evan Francis also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
