Baseball Recap: Weston Find Success

Weston's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mangham Dragons by a score of 7-3.

Drew Browning was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, Colton Blundell was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

The win got Weston back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Weston will take on Ouachita Parish at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mangham, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Frederick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
