Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Hagerman's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Hagerman unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 69-51 to the Valley Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd in Idaho, while the Vikings are ranked 17th in Idaho).

Despite the loss, Hagerman still got an impressive performance from Ky Kendall, who went 11-for-26 on his way to 28 points along with six boards and five steals. Kendall has become a key player for Hagerman: the team is 11-3 when he posts at least three steals, but 4-5 otherwise. Martin Gonzalez was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Hagerman's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

As of now, neither Hagerman nor Valley have any future games scheduled.
