Baseball Recap: L'Anse Creuse North Gets the Win

L'Anse Creuse North's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Monroe Trojans 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Andrew Weinrauch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Hrydziuszko, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Wesley Zeiman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

L'Anse Creuse North's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
