Volleyball Recap: Mt. Baker Finds Home Court Redemption Against Orcas Island + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Mt. Baker, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Orcas Island Vikings on Saturday. For the Mountaineers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Mt. Baker had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-13.

Mt. Baker's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9-2. As for Orcas Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Baker will host Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Orcas Island, they will square off against Mount Vernon Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
