Volleyball Recap: Everly Kostiuk Key Part of Team Effort in Hawks Win

SkyView Academy won the last time they faced Sheridan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rams.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: SkyView Academy took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-8, 25-9.

SkyView Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Everly Kostiuk, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Kostiuk a new career-high.

Kostiuk wasn't the only good servers: SkyView Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

SkyView Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Sheridan, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. SkyView Academy will venture away from home to face off against Estes Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sheridan, they will head out to square off against STEM School Highlands Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
