Volleyball Recap: Huntingdon's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Huntingdon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bishop McCort Crushers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bearcats as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Huntingdon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

When it comes to explaining why Bishop McCort lost, don't look at Emma Preuss. Despite the final result, she had 24 digs. Preuss has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Urban, who had 20 assists and three digs.

Huntingdon's win bumped their record up to 6-11-1. As for Bishop McCort, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14-3 record this season.

Huntingdon will host Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop McCort, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Forest Hills on the 7th.
