Basketball Game Preview: BASIS Independent Red-Tailed Hawks vs. Barrie

The BASIS Independent Red-Tailed Hawks are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Barrie Barrie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

BASIS Independent is leaving town to face Barrie after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The contest between BASIS Independent and The Lab School of Washington didn't end well, with BASIS Independent falling 70-51. The Red-Tailed Hawks were down 59-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Barrie had just enough and edged Varsity Opponent out 32-29 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Barrie.

Barrie's win came from a few key players BASIS Independent will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rawle Tapper-Howard, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Brisbon, who had three points and four steals.
