Robertson has gone a perfect 7-0 against Ruidoso recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Warriors at 3:00 p.m. The last four games Robertson has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Robertson took a 19-run defeat the last time they faced off against West Las Vegas, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals skirted past the Dons 2-1. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by just one run.

Ariana Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Ruidoso unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 10-6 to Dexter. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Alexx Chavez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Robertson pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ruidoso, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 16-3.

Everything went Robertson's way against Ruidoso in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Robertson made off with an 18-4 win. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
