Baseball Recap: Tri-State Christian Starts off Right with Win over Tome

Tri-State Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Tome Titans 12-2 on Thursday. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 9-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jake Bannon spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Tri-State Christian got a massive performance out of Brayden Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Davis, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, Tri-State Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Greenwood Mennonite at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tome, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Harford Christian at 4:00 p.m.
