Soccer Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville lost against Lowell back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Yellow Jackets lost 8-0 to the Red Arrows. While losing is never fun, Greenville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 338th, while Lowell are ranked 76th).

Greenville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Lowell, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2-1.

Coming up, Greenville will square off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lowell, they will face off against East Grand Rapids at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Lowell have won three straight at home, while East Grand Rapids won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
