Baseball Recap: Brazos Christian Takes a Loss

Brazos Christian entered their contest against Hill Country Christian School of Austin on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Brazos Christian fell just short of Hill Country Christian School of Austin by a score of 7-6. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Knights since on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Brazos Christian and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brazos Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vanguard College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they will face off against Round Rock Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
