Soccer Recap: Swainsboro Takes a Loss

Swainsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Portal Panthers. Swainsboro were not able to make up for their defeat to Portal from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Swainsboro's goal came courtesy of Kaylee Cox, who's now up to seven this season.

Swainsboro's record is now 9-6. As for Portal, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Swainsboro will welcome Savannah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Portal, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wheeler County at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th.
