Volleyball Recap: Torres Takes a Loss

Torres lost against Lincoln back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Torres Toros lost 3-0 to the Lincoln Tigers. The Toros' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Torres was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Torres' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lincoln, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Torres will host Sotomayor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Marshall a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
