Football Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Gets the Win + How To Watch

Wallace-Rose Hill hadn't beaten Clinton on the road since November 6, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Bulldogs managed a 22-18 win over the Dark Horses. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dark Horses, too.

Jamarae Lamb went supernova, rushing for 278 yards and three scores while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those 278 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wallace-Rose Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 395 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clinton only rushed for 82 rushing yards.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, don't look at Miles McCallop. Despite the final result, he threw for 209 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

Wallace-Rose Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Clinton, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallace-Rose Hill will face off against Pender at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 990 yards in their previous games. As for Clinton, they will challenge East Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
