Baseball Preview: Legacy Lightning vs. Fairview Knights        
        
		
            
 The Legacy Lightning will be playing at home against the Fairview Knights at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Legacy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1  runs per game  this season.
 Last Tuesday, Legacy got the win against Monarch  by a conclusive  13-3.
  Dominich Simmons looked comfortable as he  pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate,  KC Reiser and  Chase Hoelting did most of the damage at the plate:  Reiser  went 2-for-3 with five  RBI, a  run,  and a  double, while  Hoelting  scored three  runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Sanchez, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Fairview fell victim to Fossil Ridge and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They lost  6-0 to the SaberCats. Fairview has not had much luck with Fossil Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Fairview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Isaac Waymire, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double.
 Legacy's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
 Everything went Legacy's way against Fairview when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 as Legacy made off with  a  12-5 victory. Will Legacy repeat their success,  or does  Fairview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
