It's playoff time, and Atkins had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Prescott Curley Wolves on Friday by a score of 27-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won nine games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Prescott saw an underclassman step up: freshman Desmond Prater rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 124 yards on eight of 19 attempts. 90 of Prater's passing yards were hauled in by Roderick McKinney.

Atkins' record now sits at 9-2. As for Prescott, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Atkins will face off against Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Beavers have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight matchups. Prescott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
