Softball Recap: Antigo Comes Up Short

Antigo managed to slip by Medford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Robins came up short against the Raiders on Tuesday, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Robins have suffered against the Raiders since June 1, 2021.

Tristin Arlen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breleigh Akright, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Antigo now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Medford, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Antigo will square off against rival Tomahawk at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Medford is set to face off against their familiar foe Northland Pines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
