Football Game Preview: Northeast Guilford Rams vs. Eastern Guilford Wildcats + How To Watch

Northeast Guilford is 0-10 against Eastern Guilford since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Rams will host the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Northeast Guilford's defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so Eastern Guilford's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Northeast Guilford proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Asheboro.

JaQuez Crawford was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (171.5). Elijiah Jones was another key player, gaining 102 total yards.

Meanwhile, Eastern Guilford played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Northern Guilford, falling 34-14. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Nighthawks are ranked 33rd).

Northeast Guilford will have to contain Javion Majette as he made an impact in Eastern Guilford's last game. He rushed for 58 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 111 yards on 12 of 17 attempts. Majette has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Northeast Guilford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Eastern Guilford, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Northeast Guilford was dealt a bruising 54-24 defeat at the hands of Eastern Guilford when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Rams, Caleb Creech (who rushed for 300 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
