Basketball Recap: West Lincoln Rebels vs. East Burke Cavaliers
West Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 56-37 to the East Burke Cavaliers. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won 69-47.
Barger Shook was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds for East Burke. Shook is becoming a predictor of East Burke's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 6-3 (and 4-10 when he doesn't). Jay Dixon was another key player, putting up ten points.
