Basketball Recap: Hillgrove Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Harrison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hillgrove, they should've done a better job of containing Bryson Jatta. The Hillgrove Hawks secured a 69-64 W over the Harrison Hoyas on Friday thanks in part to Jatta, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 15 rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Mott, who posted nine points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Hillgrove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Harrison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hillgrove will face off against Newton on Wednesday. Hillgrove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Newton likes a good challenge. As for Harrison, they will head out to take on Grayson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grayson will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Harrison surely won't give up without a fight.
