Baseball Game Preview: Ludington Orioles vs. Waverly Warriors

The Ludington Orioles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Waverly Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Ludington didn't have quite enough to beat Grant and fell 4-2. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Waverly strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Sexton as they made off with a 12-1 victory.

TJ Stewart looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Waverly got a massive performance out of Jackson Gomez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tre Combs, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Ludington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Waverly, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
