Baseball Recap: San Marcos Takes a Loss

The San Marcos Royals might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-2 to the Crescenta Valley Falcons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Marcos got a good showing from Isaac Corvera, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, San Marcos saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Monson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

San Marcos' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Crescenta Valley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. San Marcos will challenge Buena at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.8 runs per game on average), something the Royals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crescenta Valley, they will square off against Muir at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
