Softball Recap: Maiden's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against East Burke last Tuesday, Maiden came back down to earth. Maiden fell 11-7 to the West Lincoln Rebels on Friday. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Olivia Wray made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

The loss snapped Maiden's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-5 record. As for West Lincoln, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Maiden will challenge rival West Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Lincoln is set to face off against their familiar foe Bunker Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
