Baseball Recap: East Boston Comes Up Short

East Boston extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-7 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madison Park RVT/McKinley RVT Cardinals. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Jets were not able to get on the board.

As for Madison Park RVT/McKinley RVT, they now have a winning record of 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 13, 2024.

For Madison Park RVT/McKinley RVT's part, not much got past Maikol Arias, who gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks to keep East Boston off the board. Arias has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
