Baseball Recap: Frostproof Comes Up Short

Frostproof was the 2-1 winner over DeSoto County when they last played one another on March 11th, but their luck changed this time around. Frostproof fell 9-6 to DeSoto County on Thursday. Frostproof has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frostproof saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Roberts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Colton Paulk was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Frostproof's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for DeSoto County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season.

Frostproof will take on Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frostproof is facing Lake Placid at the right time seeing as Lake Placid is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for DeSoto County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeSoto County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Clewiston has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
