Basketball Game Preview: Covington Chargers vs. Haywood Tomcats + Official Tickets

Covington is 1-9 against Haywood since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Tomcats at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Covington lost 64-43 to Humboldt on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Haywood suffered their biggest loss since January 24th on Friday. They took a blow against Fayette Ware, falling 93-60. The Tomcats haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Haywood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Covington beat Haywood 58-51 in their previous matchup back in January. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Tomcats' Lekendric Phillips, who posted 20 points and three steals.
